Ice Blue is a high-end broadcast and production
encoder/decoder that enables mpeg-1, 2 and 4 encoding
and decoding with a mix of SDI, composite, digital
AES, balanced and embedded inputs and outputs.
The product supports the creation and playback
of transport, program and system MP4 files. The
card also supports desktop streaming and is an
ideal partner for digital signage.
Anything from powerpoint to web-based signage
applications can be effectively streamed onto
the network.

Breeze works with TwoFour Digital
and Tiscali to create cross atlantic art installation
Tiscali commissioned Twofour Digital
as a partner to deliver the image capture, encoding
and projection technology for the unique Telectroscope
project devised by artist Paul St George and produced
by Artichoke. The Telectroscope is two huge brass
and wood telescope-like oprical devices –
one in front of the Brooklyn Bridge in New York
and the other in front of Tower Bridge in London
– which create a real time link between the
cities.
Working on the Telectroscope was
a challenging project for Twofour Digital and
Breeze – which required a high quality live
video link between the two cites, over 3000 miles
apart across the Tiscali network. Time was of
the essence as the installation was designed to
appear over night so they had only five hours
in which to get everything setup and working 100%
in both London and New York simultaneously.
In each Telectroscope is a Sony
EX1 camera, the visual from which was encoded
with SDI, using Breeze Technologies IceBlue capture
cards and converted in to an MPEG 2 stream to
be delivered across the Tiscali Virtual Private
Network and decoded with IceBlue to the opposite
projector (Sanyo XT-10).
